Driving right behind the van that read “The Final Journey,” I was reaching the burial ground to bid a final goodbye to my friend’s mother. This experience can be disturbing to many, who haven’t seen a dead body before or who fear death but it wasn’t that torturous.

The woman we had to burry was not an ordinary woman. This lady, to start with, died instantly without much pain to her own body and to the ones around her. She said she is losing her breath and she was dead in a few minutes. She had been a spiritual healer all her life and she had a multitude of people whom she had healed, around her. Before she left for her journey ahead of this body, she had both her sons and her whole family around, which was nothing less than a blessing. She had seen everything she could, right from a short-tempered husband to a loving younger son, from being a judge’s daughter to being married to a scientist, from having everything to having nothing and still being satisfied.

For the first time in my life, I enjoyed being in the company of a dead person. I felt I am around someone who was never from this realm and her leaving this body was a leap to the higher levels of revelation. Every time I did a little for her final ceremony, I got immense satisfaction and pleasure. Transferring her from her bed to the box she was to be buried in, felt like I had done something for someone very close to god. Putting her box in the van and driving behind her van made me feel as if she is smiling at me and is blessing my entire family. I tried sharing this experience with her younger son but he felt I am exaggerating, so I preferred to stay quiet. While the final prayers were being read, one of us felt her walking around and standing by her sons.

As the day has got over I know that her family is missing her and would want her back, but the path she has moved on to is much above a man’s worldly understanding. Many of us die and the death doesn’t allow us to live. However, this lady died in this virtual world and stays alive as a powerful energy and a healer around the ones who would ever need her assistance and healing.
