There are times when “not so appealing situations” last really long. They don’t seem to be coming to an end and we feel we are stuck in a rut. They are meant to leave, but the process can be calm or painful depending on the way we think about it or ultimately handle it. My purpose  here is to “empower your conscious” and “turn on your natural healer” to help you smoothly move out of it.

1. Being in it and still being detached

Detachment means not getting emotionally stranded by it. Your senses don’t go numb and your mind doesn’t hit you back and forth. Detachment means being in the situation and yet believing that it’s a temporary phase.

When you do not have the right way to get rid of it, the best solution is to continue with other things. Feel nothing about the situation and stop judging it. Know that it is something karmic you cannot change. It’s either your payback time or a lesson for life. Don’t use words like “punishment” or “bad days” as you end up hitting yourself even harder. You can call it “a situation that is new to you” or “something you need to learn from.”  Surrender to it, know that the answer is pending, and move on with the other aspects of life. People who are detached are more in control of their lives and untoward situations do not drag them far.

2. Focus on one of your goals

Take your attention to something creative. It will enhance your consciousness and make you realize that life has more to offer than that one problem. Put your entire energy to accomplish something you have wanted to master. It sharpens your focus and thus helps you understand situations better. Also, this sense of victory helps you know that you are more than what you thought you were. A friend of  mine fought cancer while reading his favorite books, working on his vocabulary, and becoming one of the finest speakers in the college after finally getting healed. He said he had wanted to shift his focus, from the treatment and the pain he had been going through, to something he could have felt victorious about. He did it.

3. Gratitude

Have a list of things you possess.  Name every small and big thing you own and write something like: “I am thankful that I have a bed to sleep on, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.” I am thankful that I have a loving and supportive mother, Thank you, Thank You, Thank you.” Make every cell of your body feel thankful for all small and big things you have. You would know you are bigger than that one situation you thought had been holding you back.

It gives an immense pleasure to become bigger than your troubles. Literally, our physical size remains the same, but our consciousness expands. When the consciousness expands and the vibration changes, the solution to that one situation comes up naturally and we get flowing through it without much effort.
