A yogi understands the cycle of life well. He moves with the awareness that life is too temporary to be worried about. He understands that knowledge plays an important role and it is too painful for one to be lost in this samsara without having the knowledge of how to lead life. Yogis are unperturbed by the prosaic day to day concerns. They stay calm and follow the scriptures given by the ancient sages. They understand the true nature of human being and keep themselves at a check that they should not act foolishly.

A yogi knows that the true power lies in keeping the mind calm. He understands that overindulgence in sex or any sensual pleasure can lead to the deterioration of one’s body and mind. He directs his attention towards the thoughts that he must practice. He practices peace, focus, consciousness, determination, and gratitude so much that they become a part of his life.

A yogi doesn’t let anything be harsh on him. Words such as “Insult” or “hurt” do not exist for him as he can keep them away from his thoughts. He listens to someone’s scathing words and lets them pass away without thinking about them.

Being a yogi is possible while doing one’s daily chores and practicing what a yogi practices every day.
