Martha and David lost their kids to a car accident. The elder daughter Jenny was 11 and the younger girl Natasha was 6. Martha was devastated. But she conceived again after 1 year. The evening they came back from a regular check up with the Gynaecologist, David slept a little early. He had not been feeling well that day. The next day when he woke up, he told Martha about a dream he had. He said he saw their two daughters in the dream who told him that they would come back as their kids again. Martha, who was a Catholic, couldn’t believe it, as Christianity doesn’t favour reincarnation. David said they would have twins and it would be Jenny and Natasha again. Martha enquired from her doctor but there was only one heartbeat that could be heard and the doctor refused the possibility of twins.

Months passed by and they had the day when the delivery was due. To everyone’s astonishment, Martha gave birth to two girls. The second one came 10 minutes after the first child. David saw his dream come true. As he picked one of his daughters, he found a mark on her forehead which was similar to the one Natasha had on her forehead. Natasha had fallen from the staircase and had got that permanent scar which was now visible on the forehead of the newborn.

They named their daughters Alice and Aimee. Alice was the elder one as she was born 10 mins before Amiee. As the daughters grew up, David and Martha, who had left their old house after Jenny and Natasha passed away, decided to go back. The moment they reached their house, Alice, who had never come there, told them about a game Jenny used to play in the garden there. Martha still couldn’t believe it and took it as a guess on Alice’s part. In the evening when they went to the market to buy their groceries, Aimee, on her way told her mother about Jenny’s and Natasha’s school.

Now Martha was in a state of flux and she wanted to see if David was right. She opened an old box which had Jenny’s and Natasha’s toys. She kept them at the door of Alice’s and Aimee’s room and kept herself hidden behind the wall to check their reaction. As they came out, Amiee picked Natasha’s doll and turned to Alice telling her about how Amiee loved it when father brought it for them. Alice took the teddy bear that their mother had given Jenny on her 7th birthday. They talked about those old days of how they played with these toys without realising that they had reincarnated. It seemed as if it was something latest for them. Martha had understood the reality and told David about it.
