After exploring the major attractions of San Francisco like Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Golden Gate Park, etc., one can move to the other “not so famous” but interesting areas of the city.

Mission District
Mission District is one such place, which might not be famous among the tourists but does attract the San Franciscan youth. With its Mexican ambiance and wonderful restaurants, Mission District is a perfect neighborhood to unwind. Dolores park in the district is visited by the younger generation of the city for socializing and sun bathing. Zeitgeist, once a bikers’ bar, is one of the casual hangout options. However, the funky bartenders should not be expected to be polite or courteous for any reason. Although fun, mission district can be unsafe at night.
The Castro, although not one of the main tourist attractions, enlivens the experience of visiting San Francisco. It is the finest neighbourhood to explore the vivid gay and lesbian culture of the city. With the finest restaurants and cafes of the city, the people in the
neighbourhood are friendly and energetic. Tourists visiting the place in October can experience the famous Castro street fair.
Twin peaks is the place to reach if one desires to have a dynamic view of the city from the hillocks rising 922 feet from the ground. One can either walk up to that height or a cab would be a perfect option to reach up there. It’s one of the premium points to click photographs and have a lazy time around.
